Normally, anything you want to show, including live video feeds, slideshows, presentations, streaming video, text advertisement and more.

There are two types of indoor LED display system connection: synchronous and asynchronous. With different system connection, there are two types of sending boxes accordingly. For example, in the Novastar system, the MCTRL series apply in synchronous, on the other hand, TB series are asynchronous.

In synchronous transmission, data is sent in form of blocks or frames. This transmission is the full-duplex type. Between sender and receiver, synchronization is compulsory. In Synchronous transmission, There is no gap present between data. 

Also, take Novastar as an example, Novastar is the most widely used indoor LED screen system solution with the most users in the world. In synchronous transmission, there must be always one PC/Laptop connected to the LED screen. The LED screen is like a mirror, it is reflected from the display of PC/Laptop to LED screen. What shows on the computer monitor is what is being played on the LED screen. The PC/Laptop is connected to one Novastar synchronous sending box, MCTRL 300, or other item, and the sending box is connected with the receiving card inside the indoor LED screen cabinet. This is synchronous route.

In asynchronous transmission, data is sent in form of byte or character. This transmission is the half-duplex type transmission. In this transmission start bits and stop bits are added with data. It does not require synchronization. 

In asynchronous transmission, once the program has been set in side of the asynchronous sending box, the video will be played as program without any other control. The asynchronous route is the sending box, which sends the signal through WiFi or 5G remotely to the receiving card which is inside of the LED cabinet. 

With synchronous transmission and asynchronous transmission, we can take live video feeds and signals from your PC, laptop, mobile phone or any output source including CV, VGA, HDMI, DVI, SDI, HD-SDI and more.

There are 3 types of installation for indoor projects.

Module installation

This solution is the cheapest way to install indoor projects. Because there are no cabinet solutions. Indoor LED screen walls come in various sizes, so you can choose the perfect fit for your project space. From mini size to large installations, LED screen walls can be customized to suit your specific requirements. Without cabinet frame, there is no limit, you can make any size you want. However, the installation needs professional technician, otherwise, the alignment of the LED video wall would be not perfect.

Iron cabinet installation

On the basis of Indoor LED display module installation, we put all electronic components, including modules, power supply, receiving card, and cables, into the iron cabinet. And the size of cabinet can be any multiple of the module size. This installation will be easier than module installation, and the cabinet frame offers protection for all electronic components from dust and accidental touch. Before the installation, follow IAM LED WALL’s CAD drawing, and put the cabinet into the correct coordinate.

Die-casting cabinet installation

On the basis of iron cabinet installation, die casting completed a revolutionary upgrade. Die casting indoor LED cabinet is easier to install with similar size, lighter cabinet and more precise splicing. For die-casting cabinet installation, most are all front access, you just need to fix the cabinet on the wall/frame, then connect the ribbon cabinet and put the modules on the cabinet with magnets. Except of mounted on the wall, suspended from ceilings, or fixed on stands are also available.

Pixel Pitch Explained Pixel, pitch is the distance between adjacent pixels on an LED screen. The unit of length is millimeters. The smaller the pixel pitch, the higher the resolution of that display. It reflects the level of detail that can be shown on a display.

For example, Indoor LED display P2 means the distance of two adjacent pixels is 2mm, then 1m with 500 pixel, and 1 SQM with 250,000 pixel. Each sending box with different pixel capacity. We take Novastar as example, MCTRL 300 can load 1.3 million pixel, which means MCTRL 300 can load 5SQM P2 LED screen. There are many other sending box/ controller with different pixel capacity, MCTRL 600 is 2.3 million, VX600 is 3.9 million, and VX1000 is 6.5 million. Nowadays, P2mm and P2.5mm are the most popular pixel pitch for indoor solutions.

The size of the individual LED pixels on an LED display is one of the most important features in terms of display quality and picture quality. The smaller the square and the closer together the pixels and clusters, the better and more vibrant the picture you will get. For example – Indoor LED display P2.5 is very good, 4.8 pixel pitch is not ideal for high-quality content playback.

Surely the small pitch means the high-resolution LED displays, with their vivid colors, smaller pitch would leave a lasting impression. However, it does not mean that smaller is better. You should choose the suitable pixel pitch for your LED screen projects. The basis rule is the best viewing distance. 

For example, with the limitation of indoor room, indoor project’s best viewing distance is about 1m to 3m, which means you can choose Indoor LED display P1.25mm, P1.58mm, P2mm and P2.5mm. Those are all suitable for the best viewing distance from 1m to 3m.

For many indoor projects, you can put the cabinet in advance, and after all cabinets are mounted on the wall, then you can put the modules on.

IAM indoor products can be curved, and there are two curved types: one is flexible module type, and the other is indoor LED screen walls can be customized and curved to create unique shapes and designs based on IAM LED WALL’s capabilities and the type of LED panels used.

The second way can be module installation and cabinet installation. The cabinet also must be customized to a certain degree. IAM LED WALL has plenty of experience in supporting customized indoor projects. Because indoor projects do not need to consider waterproofing. It is a convenient way to cut off the module kits, to make two cabinets joined together to a certain degree. With this curve, the whole LED wall is finished.

Right corner is two LED screen joint with 90deg, and there are two directions of this LED scree. Both two screen are in same direction, it is much easy to make it. For two screens with different direction, it is need to customized. In the past years, most LED screen manufacturers cut off the module kits to join two cabinets into 90 deg. In IAM LED WALL, we produced the 45 deg module kits. It would be cleaner and more convenient than cutting off the module kits.

Compared with traditional flat LED screens, the 90-degree corner LED screen is more attractive and with wider viewing angle, which can max the audience capacity in a certain area. It’s motivated by a pleasing atmosphere due to the LED’s vivid characteristics.
